With a pen in one hand and an unstoppable drive in the other, Charron has built an empire that includes 25+ books, groundbreaking stage plays, and a growing footprint in film and television production.
Known for her children’s book series The Adventures of Michelle and the critically acclaimed stage play Get Out of Your Own Way, Charron’s work has touched hearts, shifted perspectives, and earned standing ovations from Hollywood to Off-Broadway. In addition, her hustle and impact haven’t gone unnoticed. Charron is rocking a list of honors that includes being named a “Fellow of the Most Excellent Order of International Experts (FOIE)” by the United Nations and Woman of Influence, receiving an Honorary Doctorate from CICA International University & Seminary, and earning commendations from the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate. She’s also a 2024 Global 100 Honoree and has been inducted into Marquis Who’s Who of America.
Never one to shy away from a new challenge, Charron has stepped into the world of film and TV as an Associate Producer, Executive Producer, and Production Assistant, helping bring bold stories to the screen alongside some of the industry’s biggest names. When she’s not writing, producing, or empowering others through her companies, Pen Legacy and CM Writes, she’s collaborating with stars like D’Atra Hicks, Evelyn Braxton, Toni Moore, Esq, Precious Williams, Ty Johnston-Chavis, Camille Cooper, and Cas Sigers to amplify diverse voices in books, scripts, and media content.
Monaye has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from West Chester University, a Master’s in Public Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management, and a Certificate in Paralegal Studies and Life Coaching. In addition, Monaye studied writing for television, film and novel writing and editing under the tutelage of Shonda Rhimes, Victoria Christopher Murray and Tressa Azarel Smallwood. Charron Monaye is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Order of Eastern Star, and First Baptist Church of Crestmont.
